The Robinson Volunteer Fire Department seeks a motivated, detail-oriented Part-Time Training Coordinator who is passionate about training new and experienced firefighters. The role coordinates, manages, and delivers specialized leadership, professional, and tactical training to the Robinson Volunteer Fire Department’s members. The Training Coordinator coordinates course instruction support for participating in emergency response operations. The Training Coordinator also serves as the SFFMA Certification Coordinator. The Training Coordinator will also develop a Citizens’ Fire Academy to enhance the department’s Community Risk Reduction.
The Training Coordinator is expected to work 20-24 hours per week, including evening and weekend training sessions as needed. While it is not required for the Training Coordinator to attend every training session, they are responsible for ensuring all training activities are effectively coordinated and adequately prepared for the designated instructor(s). Expectations and priorities will be established under the direction of the Fire Chief. Additionally, the Training Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison with external agencies, such as TEEX, TDEM, SFFMA, and other relevant organizations, to
leverage external resources and enhance the department's training programs.
