Instruction includes classroom and hands-on training in aerial apparatus components, inspections, emergency and non-emergency driving, spotting and positioning, stabilization, aerial device operations, and operational safety. This course prepares fire service personnel to deliver effective training in accordance with TCFP and SFFMA standards. Instruction covers instructional methods, lesson planning, learning styles, classroom management, training safety, and evaluation techniques. Participants will develop and present lessons and complete required skill evaluations. Successful completion meets applicable Instructor I certification requirements.
